amazing movie. i truly loved it. shows how important it is that you go after an education.. finish school, go to university.. rather than looking for somebody to support you with wealth.
But I love Carey. I love how she says “I suppose you think I’m a ruined woman” and All that poetry, and all those songs, about something that last no time at all !”.
I saw it today and was a bit disappointed, I expected something really huge. The whole film is really good, Carey Mulligan is amazing and her character too, but I think it’s the rest of the film who isn’t that great next to Carey.
I didn’t like David the first time I saw him. I really wished she ends up with Danny, but then it would be an whole different story.
c’mon it ain’t tht dificult a role. She luks the part for sure. I hve to also give it to the director , he has an eye for detail. Like the sets n the clothes!
Carey Mulligan just won the Bafta for Best Actress!
Here’s hoping for the Oscars too!
Marvellous film, saw it with my History class and I loved every single little thing about it!

Middle class girl becomes interesting. Not that exciting. It would have been better to have a film about a young, fucked up hooker becoming boring!
